Wishing for what?

I am wishing for some humility this season, maybe the "Dayenu" will help. Yes. The "Dayenu" would do me some good this season. You too? We can hope.
This Passover tradition Jesus and the twelve would have known well called "Dayenu" reminds us the Lord’s generosity -is more than enough for us. Yet it is not meant to stop with us — it is designed to flow through us- to the lives of others. When we trust His provision and sit at His table, our hearts are transformed from fear to gratitude. Gratitude is generosity in action; a response to what we’ve received and a witness to the world: when we give, lives are blessed, needs are met, and gratitude overflows. In a culture that clings tightly to my likes, the Lord calls us to live open-handed toward more than my own likes, but to be open handed toward all. To the uttermost parts of the globe. In other words, when I realize if ONLY Jesus redeeming work was given- and not my latest prayer request- it would have been more than enough.
Enough for thanksgiving with gratitude due to salvation in Christ, in the fullness of time. So I hope to be found wishing well & waiting well this Advent!
Yes the "Dayenu" (google it) would do me some good this season. You too? May Christ break into your personal history. In your ordinary busyness. Here and now. This season.
